Upstate Business Journal, Greenville, South Carolina’s leading business monthly, features an in-depth look at sports stadium project planning in its August issue. Staff writer Jay King spoke with McCullers Group President Mark McCullers about the intricacies of these often-complex projects. The firm is currently serving as owner’s representative for Greenville Pro Soccer on the new Triumph Stadium project at the BridgeWay Station mixed-use development in nearby Mauldin.

The story, which delves into topics like site selection, aesthetics, financing, community connection, and revenue generation, also takes a closer look at the public-private partnership that’s making the new home of the United Soccer League’s (USL’s) Greenville Triumph and Greenville Liberty possible.

“Stadium-anchored mixed-use developments like the ones we specialize in work best when you have a collaborative, committed group that’s dedicated to getting it right,” said McCullers. “BridgeWay Station is a great example of how a city, developer, and sports team tenant can work together to achieve a shared vision, and it was great getting the chance to talk with Jay about it.”
