Members of McCullers Group helped lead the project, design, and construction management team for the $140+ million aquatic and leisure facility that’s the centerpiece of a master-planned aquatic, recreation and health-care precinct in South Australia. The aquatic center includes two FINA-compliant, Olympic-caliber pools, a 25-meter program pool, a learn-to-swim pool, a toddler pool, a ‘splashpad’ deck, and an interactive water playground structure with water slides, valves, water cannons, and dump buckets. The project team not only met all government and FINA requirements, but also found more than $1.6 million in cost savings through negotiations and value engineering and delivered the entire development in just 28 months.
