The newly upgraded Baltimore Orioles player development facility at the Ed Smith Stadium complex in Sarasota was recently featured in Ballpark Digest.
The story, touting major league teams and their ongoing Spring Training facility investments, highlighted the Orioles’ new indoor, climate-controlled infield, biomechanics pitching and hitting lab, covered exterior eight-mound bullpen, covered batting cages, outdoor turf agility field, classroom spaces, locker rooms, offices, and player lounge. McCullers Group served as Owner’s Representative on the $23 million, 47,700-square-foot project.
“This was a fun project to work on and something we’re extremely proud of,” said McCullers Group President Mark McCullers. “Player development facilities like these are incredibly valuable investments for savvy teams like the Orioles and invaluable resources for their players. It’s nice to see them getting some deserved recognition.”
