Detroit North Terminal Airport
When a brand-new airport terminal was proposed to serve the growing communities north of Detroit, members of the McCullers team were pleased to contribute their architectural design expertise to the project. The 26-gate, 824,000-square-foot passenger terminal offers streamlined security and ample amenities. The upper level accommodates ticketing and check-in, with two TSA passenger inspection areas and multiple shops and restaurants. The lower level is reserved for baggage and other airport functions. The terminal also accommodates four international arrival gates with a new Customs and Border Protection facility. After completing all construction documentation in 18 months, the North Terminal was delivered on time and within budget, establishing a new benchmark for cost-efficient airport facilities.
