When the owners of Buddy’s Pizza chose a new location just steps from Comerica Pak in Downtown Detroit, they chose the historic Madison Building, which once housed the iconic Angelina Italian Bistro. Members of the McCullers Group helped lead the adaptive reuse of the historic site, acting as the building representative on the initial planning, restaurant design and landlord infrastructure work commitments required before restaurant TI work could begin. The popular restaurant now has more than 200 seats, including a mixture of booths and tables, a 25-seat patio along Broadway, and a grab-and-go area for customers to purchase pizza by the slice, sandwiches, and salads.
